As a family-owned community bank, we are committed to investing in the communities we serve. From 1909 with our original location in Vian, Oklahoma, to our present network of 21 locations and growing in Oklahoma and Arkansas, we build strong communities, one customer at a time.
When it comes to community building, it’s hard to think of a bigger return on investment than supporting local schools. That’s why our bankers love to celebrate and honor the teachers and school staff who work so hard for our kids. After all, we live in the same communities as our customers and send our kids to the same schools, and as a local bank, we love the opportunity to hire from the local talent pool our schools create. We believe the local bank should be the pillar of the community along with education, and we consider investing in education a win-win for everyone in the community.
To celebrate back-to-school season this year, our bankers hosted celebratory kick-off events for dozens of local schools throughout our communities. This is a fun tradition we’ve been honored to support for many years now. We wish everyone a great 2019-2020 school year!
Here are some of our bankers with teachers from Muldrow Public Schools in Sequoyah County this year.
This is the lavish spread that awaited teachers and staff at the Vian Schools breakfast event. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so we helped everyone get fueled up for the year ahead.
Armstrong Bank loves our local schools in Oklahoma and Arkansas. In addition to school breakfast events, we proudly sponsor and support many sports, academic, arts, and agricultural activities for our local youth throughout the year.
As Dr. Sinclair Armstrong, Jr. put it, “Supporting the community is critically important, and the bank is one of the pillars of the community along with education.” We hope you’ll join us in giving back to our local schools. Give your time or donate resources or school supplies to support teachers and students in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Together, we can work to make a brighter future for our kids.
